Most of what we hear is reconstructed - looped and filtered until the truth of the place is gone. It sounds like rain, but it does not feel like it.
Open Atmos is a return to the irregular. I record environments exactly as they are. No loops, no artificial layers, and no cleaning up the noise. I want the shifting wind and the distant traffic. These are the things that make a place feel alive.
